Introducing the Fulmer v. Kiffin Tracker

Here at Get Fulmer Back.com we are introducing the Fulmer vs. Kiffin Tracker. We will update it each week to show Lane Kiffin's coaching performance against Phillip Fulmer's coaching performance. Feel free to add the widget to your site also.

Looking at the tracker thus far there is a stark difference between the two coaches. However, I think it comes down to these 2 things:

1. Fulmer's head coaching record is almost 75% for his career. Lane Kiffin's head coaching record is 25% for his career.

2. Lane Kiffin wasn't good enough for the Raiders, but he is good enough for the University of Tennessee?

Why is Mike Hamilton Still Around?

As we all know by now Phillip Fulmer was fired from the head coaching job at Tennessee, and Lane Kiffin was hired. Writers like John Pennington believes it was a good idea to fire Fulmer and hire Kiffin. (Even though he's not sure if Kiffin will work out.) I disagree. Fulmer was given a huge contract extension last year by Mike Hamilton. The best thing to do would have been for Hamilton to resign, and this would have given a Fulmer an opportunity to right Tennessee's ship with a new offensive coordinator.

My current question in this whole saga is: How can Mike Hamilton still have his job at Tennessee? If you believe Fulmer should not have been fired (like I do) then obviously Mike Hamilton should be let go. However, if you believe Fulmer should have been fired, then Hamilton should have been fired for giving him a huge contract extension last year. What do you think, should Mike Hamilton be fired?

Welcome To Get Fulmer Back.com

Welcome to Get Fulmer Back.com. We want what every Vol fan wants, first and foremost, to get Tennessee Football back to its winning ways. And in that spirit, we believe the best way to get the Vols back on track is to rehire Phillip Fulmer.

Don't get us wrong, we would be more than happy if Lane Kiffin, Tennessee's new head coach, restores Tennessee back to its former high national prominence. Nothing would please us more than to eat our words. However, we just don't see it happening.

We will keep Get Fulmer Back.com up and running until the Tennessee Program is restored to national prominence, so join in the conversation.
